Proper aftercare is key to ensuring your tattoo heals perfectly and stays vibrant. Here’s what you need to do:
- Removing the Second Skin:
Remove the second skin after 3 days. - Cleaning:
Wash your tattoo gently in the shower using fragrance-free soap or shower gel. Avoid scrubbing and use lukewarm water. - Moisturizing:
Apply a thin layer of tattoo-specific cream or Bepanthen twice a day for 10 days. After washing, wait 30 minutes before applying the cream, then reapply much later in the day. Always use clean hands when applying cream. - Sun Protection:
Once your tattoo is healed, always wear SPF 50 when exposed to the sun, especially at the beach, to protect its vibrancy and prevent fading—forever! - What to Avoid:
- No sweating while wearing the second skin.
- Avoid all swimming, soaking, or bathing for 14 days—stick to quick showers only.
- Stay out of the sun during the healing process.
- Do not pick or scratch your tattoo as it heals.
By following these steps, your tattoo will heal beautifully and remain vibrant for years to come. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to ask us!
